The Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER®) is an appropriate qualification to advise on Equity Release. Qualified mortgage advisers can gain an additional specialised qualification to assist clients to select the most appropriate equity release option from a vast range of products. CeRER® gives candidates the professional qualification and the knowledge to enter the industry, whether as an employed or self employed adviser. Equity Release enables elderly clients to extract equity from their main residence to fund retirement or long term care. The qualification is easily achievable with an unbelievable quick exam turnaround.

Exam: The Equity Release exam is assessed through a single 2-hour multiple choice exam, split into two sections:
The pass mark is 70% per unit.
The course is for any person who wants to gain a professional qualification to be able to advise on equity release. Students must already be CeMAP qualified in order to complete this qualification.
Students must already be CeMAP qualified. Students that have past financial experience and good numerical skills are at an advantage.
On completion of the qualification students can become either an employed or a self employed equity release adviser.
