This Finance Law provides students with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the law in relation to the provision of financial services from a local and international scene. This course will teach participants the current financial services market in the local and international scene and the regulatory framework in which it operates. The finance law course will also focus on specific technical and legal aspects, including a review of the underlying principles and characteristics of banking and financial markets, perspectives on corporate finance, and the regulatory issues that relate to domestic and international capital markets. The course will cover wide ranging topics such as the economic environment, pensions, investments, mortgages, tax and benefits, regulatory reform, interpretation of accounts and Solicitor Accounts Rules.
