Overview

Master the strategies of communication with the deaf or partially deaf people and a kid with the British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 & 2 course.

British Sign Language (BSL) is a form of sign language that is used in the United Kingdom. It involves the use of hand movements, gestures, body language and facial expressions to communicate with other people. There are an estimated 25,000 deaf adults and 20,000 children who use BSL. The language is mostly used by people who are either deaf or have a hearing impairment.

The course teaches you the essential techniques of BSL sign language. At first, the course offers a wide variety of essential vocabularies related to rooms, transportation, direction, food and drink, colours, times, school activities, job and working activities, illness and health, and more. Then a great number of conversation examples from the real world will be presented to you so that you can apply the knowledge in practical life such as how to communicate at a bank or a restaurant.

By the end of the course, you will gain a basic understanding over the BSL.
