Why our course is unique:

  • It assumes you’re a marketer
  • It focuses only on the things you need to know
  • It teaches you the practical ways professionals use the Adobe programmes. For example, designing an animation using your brand guidelines in Illustrator, then animating it in After Effects (as opposed to just learning “Illustrator” and “After Effects”)
  • It teaches you essential theory alongside the professional Adobe programs
  • It provides you with brand guidelines and brand assets for 5 companies, and 81 optional homework assignments you can use to put your growing skills to use, and create your own portfolio

Why learn with us?

Designtuitive is founded by Peter Bone, a graphic, web and motion designer from Cambridge in the UK. He is also one of the UK’s most experienced creative software trainers, who for 25 years has taught thousands of professionals in classrooms in London how to use programs like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Having noticed that his students were increasingly lacking formal design training, coming from jobs in marketing, he started the company in 2011 to help beginners learn the professional skills they need to thrive in their careers.

What have students said?

“The Adobe Masterclass for Marketers course is considerately and intelligently put together in such a special and creative way. The course arms you with skills and knowledge needed to get where ever you want to go in the industry. Working with Peter has changed the way I process the world around me and is helping me to build my own brands into exactly what I want them to be.”

– Scarlett Wilson @yourblackdaughter

“Peter’s course showed me just how much is possible with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. By implementing his tricks and tools, I’m on my way to becoming a better, faster, and more creative designer.”

— Heather Pentecost, Events & Development Associate, Linc Housing

More details

How many hours have you wasted just trying to learn the Illustrator or Photoshop skills you need?

Most courses spend a lot of time showing you things you’ll never use as a marketer, leaving you feeling frustrated and overloaded with information. On our unique course you’ll focus tightly on the broad range of skills creative marketers need in 2023.

To stand out as a creative marketer these days, you’ll not only want to have solid Adobe skills (like Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects), but to demonstrate you are confident creating with them. That confidence comes from having a solid grasp of professional creative software, an understanding of graphic design theory, and from experience. Our course gives you all three.

We'll ease you in slowly, editing existing social media images, maps, infographics, animations and more. Then, once you’re confident using the programs you’ll learn how to create these things from scratch. To take things further, you can use the homework assignments and brand guidelines built into the course to test out your new skills. If you’d value 1-1 mentoring to help you gain confidence or to keep you on track, that’s available too.

Who is this course for?

This unique course teaches marketers to confidently use the key Adobe creative programs. The course tutor, Peter Bone, has taught thousands of professional marketers in the past 15 years. Most students work in marketing or communications roles, such as marketing assistants, marketing managers, digital marketers, social media marketers and communications assistants.

To take part in this course you will need access to the following Adobe software: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Bridge. You will either need a (paid) Adobe Creative Cloud account to use these programs, or have access to the trial versions. However, as the trial versions only are available free from Adobe for 7 days, I don't recommend that approach unless you have a lot of time to work on the course.

Career path

Taking this course will give you the skills and confidence to take on creative tasks (like creating social images, infographics, newsletters etc) and apply for more demanding marketing roles that expect you to have design skills, like "creative marketer". It is also a good option for anyone wanting to move towards creative work, whether as part of your career, or to start a side business.

What does study method mean?

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

What are CPD hours/points?

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

What is a ‘regulated qualification’?

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
