We are currently recruiting for an Interim Team Managerto work in Cumbria, working within Children's services, Excellent salary offered to work in a beautiful rural part of the country
The purpose of the role as a Team Manager working within children's services is:
To manage, organise and control the service area within a district in accordance with statutory guidelines and legislation and within budget.
To determine and manage the progression of complex work through the Protection and Safeguarding Team in accordance with statute regulation and practice standards.
To establish service priorities at a district level and recommend actions.
To operate as a service expert by providing expert advice to managers, staff and partner agencies.
To plan, monitor and control budgets as delegated.
To liaise and coordinate services with relevant partners and develop opportunities for partnership working.
To ensure that the team delivers the required services in close cooperation with commissioned services and in line with the relevant service specifications and arrangements.
To cover for other Team Managers as required.
To manage a team of qualified social work staff with additional professionals from other agencies providing child and family support services.
The ideal applicants will have experience of:-
Working within this area and be passionate about improving the outcomes for Children and Young People by listening to the voice of the child, young person and their families, understanding their needs and working together to agree how these needs will be met with the right help and support.
You will hold a Social Worker qualification and you will be HCPC registered and be able to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS certificate.
Experience of Child Protection and Long term care plans, extensive experience of court proceedings and private law.
Flexibility to undertake any travel required within the county necessary for your role is essential
