You will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals including service users and families helping resolve issues and provide constructive advice through our duty desk system.
We have over 25 years’ experience of running social care services and for over 6 years we have offered round the clock advice and phone support to our dedicated staff and diverse service user groups. Creative Support’s out of hour’s duty desk service provides expert internal advice through 5pm to 8am Monday to Friday and from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday. This includes weekends and bank holidays 365 days a year. Full training provided.
The senior duty desk advisor will support and manage a small team of advisors and this is a great career opportunity for someone who is newly trained in a social work related field and looking to develop their leadership and management skills. The successful applicant must be conversant with MS Office, primarily Word and Excel in order to efficiently retrieve and log information.
The Duty desk service is staffed by a Duty Manager and an advisor/Administrator during the day with the addition of a bank staff cover officer at weekends and a Senior On Call Advisor and On Call Advisor during the night. You will work as part of a strong team to offer excellent guidance and practical support. This has proven to be a very satisfying and diverse role and this senior post is part of further developing the service into the future.
