Position: Senior Claims Handler

Grade/Salary: Band 7 £26,822 - £30,153 per annum

Permanent - 37 hours per week.

Closing date: 20th April 2018 12 noon

A successful Claims Handler is required to develop, facilitate and deliver the day to day Insurance Claims Handling function for the County Council.

You will have a shared responsibility for the development and delivery of an efficient Insurance claim service that minimises the Council’s exposure to payouts and High Risks. You will implement objectives and performance standards to achieve the targets allocated, taking appropriate action to resolve performance issues as necessary.

As an experienced insurance claims handler you must have a good standard of education demonstrating numeracy & literacy and a relevant professional qualification. You must have some knowledge and experience in undertaking Risk Management Reviews within a large and complex organisation and acting on findings. You will have an active desire to provide effective customer centred services, competent written and oral communications and general problem solving and analytical skills.
