Salary: Up to £18,500

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a great company looking for a legal assistant to join their family run business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal graduate to join a business which will offer excellent training, an interesting and varied workload, and exposure to the legal process. The position includes a range of responsibilities which will give you the opportunity to be closely involved in the legal process and gain transferable legal skills.

The Job:
* Opening new cases
* Checking reports for general accuracy
* First stage conference preparation
* Assisting with the pre-case process, including checking for conflict of interest and liaising with clients by phone and email and sending out letters
* Screening of incoming telephone calls, dealing with queries where possible or transferring to the relevant person
* Filing of case folders
* Filing documents on the system ensuring accuracy of file names and dates
* Producing invoices, invoice chasing and invoice payment administration

Skills:
* Legal Degree
* Experience of working in an administrative environment
* Experience of working in a client facing role
* Experience of in-depth analysis work with the ability to focus on producing quality written material
IT skills:
* MS Word, Excel, Outlook
* Typing speed of 40wpm minimum
