Interim HR Administrator & People Officer

Romford & Dartford | Full Time | Permanent | £23,504 - £26,316 + Extensive Benefits

We are thrilled to be supporting our well-respected charity client with recruiting a HR Administrator & People Officer to join their established HR team.

The role will be split between two locations, Romford and Dartford and will require applicants to be able to commute between the two sites. Travel to other sites may be required.

Hybrid working offered once the probation period has been successfully completed.

Reporting into the HR Business Partner, this role will be supporting the HR team and management by providing a professional and effective HR service and it is offering the ability to be involved in a variety of HR duties.

Role Duties:

  • Offer basic advice on procedures and policies to employees, escalating anything more complex to the senior HR team.
  • Organise paperwork for a range of ER cases and take minutes in hearings and meetings.
  • Update HR system with employee data, ensuring accuracy and that information is kept up to date.
  • Maintain letter templates, forms and records for starters, leavers and sickness processes.
  • Update payroll systems to ensure deadlines are met and changes are implemented.
  • Support with recruitment, drafting job adverts, liaising with agencies, sending out application packs, shortlisting, arranging interviews, produce invite/outcome letters and occasionally support with interviewing.
  • Complete all pre-employment checks.
  • Assist with recruitment campaigns, opens days and events.
  • Support with the induction process
  • Maintain stock of stationary/HR related information packs at all times.
  • Participate in any adhoc HR tasks including HR project work.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a HR Administration/Coordinator/Officer role.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified.
  • Experience of HR software with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of GDPR and freedom of information.
  • Excellent IT skills including manipulating and analysing data.
  • Ability work at pace and to deadlines.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal along with being an excellent team player.
