Head Chef

This is an incredible opportunity for a professional Head Chef to join a prestigious venue with full responsibility for producing menus and managing a team, catering for events with up to 450 guests.

A passion for food is essential, as this is a wedding venue where everything is made perfect for that special day. The ability to produce stunning food for large numbers is vital, taking influence from the venue and the surrounding area to produce quality and individuality in various styles of cuisine.

The successful Head Chef will have the following responsibilities:
*Overall responsibility for running the kitchen, maintaining extremely high standards of quality, cleanliness and service
*Keeping detailed kitchen records
*Liaising with multiple suppliers for food and equipment, ensuring best quality and price
*Producing new menus and individual dishes including detailed costing and profit margins
*Managing staff scheduling ensuring all events are fully staffed
*Training staff and ensuring H&S is fully adhered to
*Assisting in the recruitment of new kitchen team members
A level 3 food hygiene certificate and previous experience at this level is essential, preferably to 2 AA rosette standards. Some form of professional training and qualification would be beneficial, although great kitchen experience will suffice.
