Ethical Compliance and Sustainability Lead

Manchester

I’ve partnered with a well-established and reputable business who due to continuous growth, they are seeking a newly appointed position within the business.

As Ethical Compliance and Sustainability Lead, you’ll be managing of factory compliance/ audits, retailer and licensor factory approvals for the business. You’ll ensure that we can meet the sustainability criteria set with suppliers and customers

Key Tasks/Main Activities:

  • Manage the factory audit process, ensuring that all necessary paperwork
  • 4Ensuring that metal procedures are in place with documentation of procedures being spot checked regularly by the in-country quality teams
  • Ensuring the Company is compliant with all legislation relevant to our product
  • Manage compliance budget
  • Support the UK, Bangladesh, China, India and Turkey suppliers / teams on compliance and audits.
  • Support the design team on new fabric/print development testing and compliance
  • Take the lead role in sustainability
  • To offer additional support to the garment tech team when required depending on workload and operational requirements
  • To be responsible for reporting Health & Safety Compliance to the Group Systems Manager
  • To maintain customer relationships and resolve any issues that arise which involve audits
  • Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security
  • To understand and work with the Cooneen systems – to help improve any of the procedures with the agreement of manager

Candidate Essential Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in testing / fabric background
  • Experienced in the use of MS office, particularly MS Word & Excel.
  • Has previous experience of dealing with customers.
  • In depth knowledge of factory audits
  • Experience of garment technology – Desirable
  • QC experience of garments & fabric – Desirable
