EPUK Investments (EPUKI) was established in 2014 as the platform for expanding the group into the UK Energy Market. EPUKI has grown rapidly since incorporation, acquiring Eggborough Power, a 2GW coal fired power station, in 2014 followed by Lynemouth Power, a 400MW biomass conversion project, in 2015 and 2.3GW of CCGTs from Centrica in September 2017.
The bio-mass conversion is one of the largest civil engineering projects in the UK with an extensive development at the Plant in Northumberland and substantial infrastructure development at the Port of Tyne. Operations will start in early 2018.
With a significant, scalable operating platform in the UK, EPUKI`s strategic focus is to establish a tier 1 position in the UK power generation market. The UK team`s objective is to achieve substantial further growth through acquisitions and investing in the construction of new-build generation assets.
As Engineering Manager for Lynemouth Power Ltd you will report to the Managing Director, you will provide effective leadership and direction to a multi-discipline engineering team to provide both a high quality strategic and operational engineering service to the Plant. You will take ownership for the development and delivery of an effective long- term engineering & maintenance strategy to maximise performance of both new and aging assets; whilst coaching and developing your team to succeed in their roles. As a key part of the leadership team, you will have a real input into the strategic direction of the Plant and look to drive improvement projects and optimise productivity through your people. Undertaking a deep review of existing systems and processes, you will challenge our existing business practices and develop the new direction for your team. As the plant becomes operational there will be ongoing engineering challenges associated with operating new equipment, a review of long term service contracts, starting to plan for the next outage in 2020/21 whilst delivering plant integrity and compliance will be key focus areas.
With a pro-active and passionate approach, you will look to optimise business processes and support your team effectively as we look to truly embed an improvement culture into our enable us to innovate and maximise performance.
As a highly experienced Leader, you will have a proven track record in the development and delivery of a high quality maintenance and engineering service that truly supports and underpins the overall plant strategy. Degree qualified, you will have a real passion for engineering and a proven ability to manage and coach your teams to reach their full potential. With well-developed communication skills, you will demonstrate the ability to inspire and enthuse your teams, raise the profile of engineering and maintenance throughout the business whilst providing effective challenge and influence at a strategic level. Previous experience in developing effective systems, procedures and contracts that support the future direction of a plant will enable you to contribute effectively to this role and support your team as their roles continue to evolve. Your previous experience in managing change or investment will enable you to make a significant contribution in our drive to effectively optimise commercial and plant performance.
