Engineering Manager - Power Electronics

Our client design and manufacture a range of complex electronic components that are sold all over the world. They are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager - Power Electronics to join their Engineering department. My client is based in a state of the art engineering facility in Bristol.

This role is for a small, specialist team within a large company. Where you will join a team that are responsible for developing new technologies for the company's products. A lot of what this team do could be categorised as 'blue sky research'.

As the Engineering Manager - Power Electronics, you will be responsible for managing site activities and leading a small team of up to 10 engineers (software, electronics and mechanical) in the delivery of power electronics development projects and the investigation of new technologies.

The Engineering Manager - Power Electronics is required to have the following:
A background in Electronics Engineering, including hands on power electronics/SMPS design experience
Experience in managing multi-disciplined teams within an R&D environment
Experience in managing projects and other site activities
Experience in the investigation of new technologies.
The ability to use a forward thinking approach
