Engineering Design Office Manager

A highly skilled Engineering Design Office Manager is required by our client, a progressive, growing business.

You will be part of the senior management team performing a key role in managing the work and performance of the Design Office.

Duties will include:

Acceptance of project briefs, liaison with other departments, plan and detail workflow.

Ensure all completed work is correct and meets the standard required.

Work closely with the senior management team in the planning, organisation and coordination of activities and resources in the design team.

Manage the maintenance of the Technical Project files.

Develop engineering skills and knowledge in other areas of the business.

Provide training, guidance and appraisals to team members to maximise productivity and efficiency within the team.

You must have excellent leadership, management, presentation and communication skills. Ideally you will have a relevant manufacturing/engineering degree or HND and be technically focussed. Excellent CAD and IT skills are a must. You will be a positive, pro-active member of the team.

This role is within commuting distance of areas of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
