Our client is a leading Financial Services organisation, currently recruiting for a Copywriter to join their customer Marketing Communications team.

As a Copywriter, you will play a key role in the creative delivery of customer communications across direct marketing and paid digital media channels.

It is expected that you'll spend at least two days per week at the Swindon based office, collaborating with teams face to face, as well as virtually.

You'll be working in a team that has accountability for creative excellence of customer marketing communications. Involved from a project's inception to its launch, you'll work as part of a team to understand the overarching objectives and customer need to deliver high quality copy for our customer communications. You will help shape and create compelling, effective messaging for a variety of customer marketing communications through our direct marketing and digital marketing channels (direct mail, emails, digital prompts in app, home and exit pages, reception pages, paid search, social and display).

You will be working with colleagues in the team to deliver a compelling communication, but also have a broader understanding of the brief, considering testing and personalisation opportunities to drive best customer experience. Championing best practice at every stage of a project and be willing to argue the case for what's right, not what's easy.

You will need to collaborate with our wider brand team to understand our tone of voice and be a guardian of this, whilst delivering impactful copy that is on brief.

You will be able to work in an agile way, making quick changes to copy as needed to ensure it is fully compliant. Whilst working hard to simplify the complex, using credible language and insight to optimise customer comms and journeys.

To be successful in this role, you will hold some of the following:

  • Strong copywriting experience, preferably within direct marketing
  • A good track record in delivering excellent writing, demonstrated through your portfolio / work examples
  • Good commercial awareness, strategic thinking and an ability to deliver customer-focused copy
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams, as well as on your own
  • Good time management and work planning skills
  • A curious, positive, creative mind that's always looking for new ways to deliver better digital experiences
  • A natural storytelling ability, essential for creating compelling narratives
  • Good people skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully to colleagues
