A new vacancy has arisen within this successful independent commercial lines broker for a Commercial Account Handler in South Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire to provide day to day administrative support to the Commercial Department. The role will involve preparation for market presentation, policy checking and preparation of risk registers. Account handling, maintenance of client records on the computer system and insurer/customer liaison. Subsidiary responsibilities will be allocated in accordance with the skills of the jobholder as the role develops. Some client visits will be undertaken as experience develops.
Prospective applicants must hold at least 2 years experience of commercial insurance broking. A good working knowledge of most types of insurance is essential. Experience of Motor Fleet and Goods in Transit would be beneficial but not essential. CII qualifications would also be helpful but are not a prerequisite, as would knowledge of the Acturis operating system. Good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines are important.
