Account Manager - Precision Engineering

Capacity Sales Engineers - are you looking for "that job", you know, the one where it's 90% account management, looking after the clients, gaining more business through understanding their needs, and developing the account via being a presence, solving problems, project managing future business, working out time scales/costs and being that diplomat representative for the company - with about 10% new business, formulated from warm leads.

This role isn't a standard sales role, it is literally an Account Manager/Client relations role. No targets, no commission, just one expectation - be the above.

Based in the South Birmingham area, with a very established SME - that work closely with Blue chip companies/Sub Con market place. They always have a full order book, and if the MD doesn't mind me saying, a really great boss, that truly understands his business.

What do you need to be?

  • Background in Engineering is probably a must, but able to read engineering drawings is the key here.
  • Capacity sales, Sales engineer in a precision Machine shop - that sort of thing.


Salary is really depending on experience - starting at £35k-£45k, Need you own transport - mileage paid for meetings (role is mostly office based).
