Overview

Traineeships are a focused, flexible offer with a direct line of sight to employment. They allow young people to continue in learning with a work-based programme of training designed to help them develop the skills and experience needed to secure apprenticeships and other sustainable employment.

In this Customer Service Traineeship you will gain valuable workplace experience as well as gaining qualifications needed for future employment in the sector.

Description

What Are Traineeships?

They are an education and training programme with work experience for young people whose preference is to find a job or apprenticeship but who lack the skills, experience and behaviours sought by employers.


Traineeships are a focused, flexible offer with a direct line of sight to employment. They allow young people to continue in learning with a work-based programme of training designed to help them develop the skills and experience needed to secure apprenticeships and other sustainable employment.


Rewards Training offer traineeships flexibly over a minimum of 10 weeks and include a minimum of 70 hours practical work experience with selected employers.

Learning Programmes will consist of the following four elements:

Work Preparation Training

A focused period of work preparation training, covering areas like CV writing, interview preparation, job search and inter-personal skills.

Work Placement

A high-quality work experience placement with an employer to give the young person meaningful work experience and an opportunity to develop workplace skills. Work placements will be for a minimum of 70 hours.

Basic Skills Training

A basic skills element with English, Maths and lCT where needed

Vocational Training

Flexible vocational learning and qualifications with a focus on preparing the trainee for occupational standards within apprenticeships or occupation specific employment.

Who is this course for?

People aged 16-24, who are currently not working and looking to gain valuable occupationally specific qualifications and experience of the workplace.

Career path

On successful completion of a traineeship, the trainee will have:

Completed a minimum of 70 hours of work experience related to their chosen pathway.

Achieved Nationally recognised qualifications in each of the training elements including GCSE equivalencies in English, Maths and ICT where needed.

Received career advice and be ready to progress to meaningful employment or onto an apprenticeship.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
