Overview

The Mixed Martial Arts course requires you to get involved in a dynamic session and learn the best techniques when it comes to MMA. You will improve your skillset and by the end of this CPD course you will be able to integrate MMA style moves to your workout sessions with your clients. So think a lot of bag and pad work!

You will also learn basic elbow and knee strikes, punch techniques and kicks, all in a friendly and non-combative setting.

Description

FORMAT

This CPD course is delivered throughout one full day, from 9am until 5pm.

ASSESSMENT

While studying for MMA instructor course with Discovery Learning, you will have full access to our online interactive study platform that includes video tutorials, images, manuals, mock exam questions as well as other learning tools to aid you. You will also benefit from our Student Support team who can assist with problems outside the classroom as well as our in-house tutors who will be there to assist the students on the course day.

You will need to complete the following assessment:

  • 3 x practical MMA moves (learner will be certified by attendance)

LOCATIONS

The course is currently being run at our West London and Manchester venues.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at personal trainers who want to make their fitness sessions varied and fun by integrating mixed martial arts moves. In order to be eligible for this course, you will need to hold a recognised Level 2 qualification or higher.

Requirements

A Level2 fitness qualification is required and we do ask that our students have a good command of English (written and spoken).

Career path

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Mixed Martial Arts Instructor certificate, awarded by Skills Active and recognised across the UK. You will also be awarded 10 REPs CPD points.
