Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET formerly known as PTLLS Course is designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to teach adult in any specialty subject area. This course is suitable for someone who wants to work as a teacher/trainer/tutor in further education. This Level 3 AET is a direct replacement qualification of Level 3/4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) course sometimes also referred to colloquially as “PETALS” since 2011.
Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET Course is an initial teacher training qualification, is also a Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) qualification. This course is best suits for those who are new to teaching, or wishing to start out a teacher / trainer or currently teaching in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET /PTLLS is designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to teach any adult people in any subject area and certifying people to teach at a nationally accredited standard.

Face to Face or Live Zoom Classroom Course:
Our Face to Face or Live Zoom classroom sessions run for 3 days from 10am to 5pm. We have over 35 venues in the UK; covering all the major cities. This course will be taught and trained by experienced teachers, who will use a wide range of teaching activities; including lectures, group work, discussion, demonstrations, candidates presentations and many more activities that help learning. Our courses are designed to be convenient, intuitive and delivered as part of a holistic approach that is supported by all major awarding bodies. Micro teaching is an activity where trainee teachers prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to their peers on the last day of the session.

Online / Distance Learning Course:
Level 3 AET qualification is delivered through our online based learning platform based with full tutor support throughout the course. A great option for anyone wishing to get the qualification using Online / Distance Learning method with the option to study from anywhere at anytime with our tutor support. You will be given full access to the Online Portal upon booking on to the course. You will be given up to 16 weeks to complete the assignments / coursework; however if you finish earlier, your certificate will be awarded early as long as you meet the required standard, you do not need to wait for 16 weeks, people finish within 2/3 weeks, depending on their lifestyle.
Within the 16 weeks, you need to do a Micro Teach for 15- 30 minutes in front of 2 audiences, who can be your peer observers. This session can be on your chosen topic and need to recorded face to face or via Teams/Zoom or another platform and send them along with your coursework for assessment. Our online course allows you to access other micro teach sessions in our one of the venues to observe as part of your course if you do not have anyone to observe yourself. Necessary resources such as computer, projector, flip chart will be provided for your micro-teach session. For more information, please contact our dedicated admin team.

Requirements

This was helpful.Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning regarding the above course, 1 is this equivalent to degree 2 is it possible tp proceed into QTS or ITT?
Answer:Upon completion of this course you will be able to get a Level 4 CET Certificate in Education and Training which is equivalent to the 1st year qualification of the university, and Level 5 DET - Diploma in Education and Training course which is the 2nd year of university qualification. This course is not equivalent to a degree course, but you can enroll in a QLTS qualification after completing a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training course.
