This course provides you with a comprehensive insight into the inspiring journey of transgender consultant Rachel Reese. It takes you through her transition from male to female and explores key aspects of what it means to be transgender today. It utilises a powerful personal perspective to examinine the issues that transgender people can face both in their personal and professional lives and transgender terminology and transitioning.

The course teacher, Rachel tells her personal story, starting with her early childhood and taking us through her years in education and her professional career, to her exploration of her trans identity and her eventual transition. Rachel sets out the guidelines for employers on creating a trans-friendly workplace, referencing her own experience.

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their understanding of what it means to be transgender and how best to support trans staff and colleagues.
