The course is divided into two categories—Foundation in Accounting and Intermediate in Accounting—with each category further divided into two major parts.

Description

FOUNDATION IN ACCOUNTING

FA 1 – gives emphasis on topics related to banking system, business transactions, payroll and ledger accounts, double entry bookkeeping and trial balance preparation and reconciliation.

MA 1 – is focused on dispensing information about accounting management, including cost and management accounting’s nature and purpose, cost classifications and recording, and effective usage of spreadsheets.

INTERMEDIATE IN ACCOUNTING

FA 2 – is all about accounting principles and concepts and other accounting essentials that include bookkeeping process, trial balance preparation, control accounts and cashbooks, journal and ledger accounts, and partnership account.

MA 2 – covers organisational costing. This includes essential topics like cost description, classification and recording and identification and proper application of various cost accounting techniques. Usage of management accounting in creating sound financial decisions is also discussed within this section of the course.
