Management Accounting is a system or process managers use to acquire information before making a decision based on financial and operational information. On a day-to-day or short-term basis, tasks includes devising plans, performance management and financial reporting.
Management Accounting is also responsible for achieving cost transparency, wherein costs includes direct cost, indirect cost, materials, labor, overheads, variable costs, fixed costs, mixed costs and others.

At the end of this course, students shall learn how to: (1) comprehend costing system; (2) budget effectively; (3) do CVP analysis; (4) make decisions; (5) understand pricing; (6) measure performance; (7) be familiar with operations management.
To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.
Work setting could be within a public company or private company, managerial accountants are risk takers and great problem solvers that a public and private company needs to help them make the right decisions. Management accounting decision concerns the future of the organization, and it is always forward-looking.
