Overview
Our auditor training courses are the only integrated management systems auditing courses approved and certified by IOSH. They are aligned to ISO 19011 and based on ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001. Past participants say they are among the best courses they ever attended. We can also run this class as ‘Environmental Auditing’ or ‘Occupational Health and Safety Auditing’ – in both cases, approved by IOSH. All three are suitable for external accreditation of Auditors and Lead Auditors (after suitable practical experience).
Throughout the course, participants work as auditors to appraise the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSE-MS) of Petros Barola Ltd, a fictitious but highly realistic case study based on the distribution department of an integrated petrochemicals company located on the Caribbean island of Barola. The intensive five-day programme consists of a rich blend of tutorials, workshops and hands-on activities within the audit case study. Participants work in small teams, each led by an experienced Lead Auditor as they conduct an opening meeting, plan the audit, and interview Petros employees in the fieldwork stage.
Interviewees provide documents for the auditors to review, analyse and use as they would in a real audit. The culmination of the class is a closing presentation to the senior management of the company.
