This course offers a fully accredited qualification recognised by Sage, the International Association of Book-Keepers, and very importantly; employers. Our small class sizes will guarantee you will receive one-to-one support throughout your time with us. Block study packages for work groups are also available to save on time and cost.

Main course content (Section 2 Computerised Accounts)

• Enter data into accounting package
• Customer and supplier invoices and credit notes
• Customer and supplier payments
• Journal entry
• Correct errors
• Bank reconciliation
• Produce documents
• Maintain petty cash
• Produce reports
• Data storage and security

Cost includes: IAB registration and exam fee, all study resources, computer software and qualification certificate.

The course is not for the faint-hearted and requires dedication on your part to want to progress through the levels to where you need to be. It is, without question, a fact that qualifications in the field of accountancy will open doors to earning very good salaries and future promotions.

This course is designed to appeal to those individuals who have used a computerised accounting package and want to gain an understanding of more advanced accounting principles. It will also offer certification for those who are already working in an accounting environment but have not, as yet, gained a recognised qualification.

There are no formal entry requirements; however, it is important that you have good basic skills in numeracy and literacy which will be assessed during the enrolment process. It would be to the individual’s advantage to have some work experience in an office environment, although this is not mandatory.

Should you be working in an accounting environment you will find that this qualification gives you a very good knowledge of the theory of accounting and double entry. If you are keen to move into accountancy and have good literacy and numeracy skills this qualification will provide you with excellent employment prospects. Salaries from £15,000 to £25,000 based upon experience and qualifications.
