How to Manage Through Change
Virtual College
Summary
Overview
Change is happening all of the time. How we respond to change, or cope with it, can vary considerably from person to person. The manager’s role when guiding organisations through change is one that is complex and challenging. Employees will often look towards leaders to aid the transition through uncertain and turbulent times, as it is easy for them to become distracted from their goals and objectives. As managers have such a significant influence on how people respond to change or how quickly they will adapt, it is important that the issues outlined in this course are considered.
As a result, this course has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to manage through change. On completion, learners will understand the importance of managing through change, how to transition smoothly through change and how to successfully implement change.
By completing this course you should be able to:
- Explain why managing change is important
- Describe the changes that affect us at work and in life
- Describe different reactions to change
