Description

The IEMA Approved Associate Certificate course in Environmental Management is a new professional qualification aimed at individuals involved in the environmental profession, regardless of the sector.

The two-week course is split into ten modules, with a final assessment by open-book examination, which delegates can complete online or on paper. Delegates will gain a practical understanding of sustainability principles, environmental law, pollution prevention techniques, and performance measurement.

On successful completion, they will be awarded Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Learning with the British Safety Council will enable delegates to benefit from our extensive experience in health, safety and environmental management, acquired over the last 60 years. During this time, we’ve educated people from all over the world and have developed expert tuition methods, using the most modern teaching techniques.

Assessment

The course is assessed by open-book examination, with the option to complete the assessment online.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
