Course Introduction
The introductory part presents an overview of the course, essential life-saving skills & knowledge to gain confidence to administer first aid to men’s best friend canine successfully.
Collapse & Unconsciousness
This chapter demonstrates the causes for a dog to collapse, understanding if the animal is unconscious or unresponsive and possible signs and causes.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This module focuses on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. How one can perform Dog CPR in an emergency and save lives through artificial respirations and chest compressions when they aren't breathing or doesn't have a heartbeat.
Shock
This part explains the signs, and stages of shock, how you know if your dog is in shock, and help your canine to recover.
Bleeding
In this part, the instructor explores the different types of injuries like bleeding, discovers the animal bleeding, finds any apparent haemorrhage, and determines the severe level. If bleeding profusely, immediate prevention and stop bleeding.
Bandaging
The instructor shows dressing and bandaging a wound. Bandages and splints protect the underlying tissues from self-trauma, such as licking the goal of bandaging and avoiding complications.
Fractures
This module covers road traffic accidents, vehicle trauma, fracture, and dislocations. Know if a dog has a fracture and what to do.
Seizures
Convulsions, signs and symptoms of dog seizures are covered in this module. The instructor shows the triggers of an attack in a dog and what can be done in the event of a seizure.
Choking & Drowning
This section depicts the signs of choking, helping a choking dog, checking the airway and breathing. Become aware of the symptoms of drowning and near-drowning in dogs. Helping your pet if they are choking and putting them into recovery.
Heat Stroke & Hypothermia

Common Emergencies
The instructor describes the five steps to remember when dealing with an emergency. Responding to injuries or illness, what to do, and in what order.
Managing a First Aid Scenario
This part depicts exploring essential skills and knowledge to manage the first-aid scenario. Carry out first aid in a crisis, equipped with practical information to help the pet. When your dog suffers an incident, how can you approach and support it?
Pet First Aid Kit
This module describes equipment to restrain or move the dog and apply an emergency muzzle. Essential information about a pet first aid kit in detail for a canine medical emergency or health issue.
Assessment
You have to attend an online assessment by the end of the course. Assessments will instantly provide results. The successful assessment requirement is 60%. Learners are allowed multiple attempts to encourage them to achieve the desired score. However, every attempt will make the previous result invalid. This multiple assessment attempt is free of charge.
