Course 1: Dementia an understanding (60 Minutes)

This course will enable participants to become familiar with the person-centred approach to dementia. By the end of the course participants will have gained knowledge of dementia and what it involves. The participant will learn about diet and communication techniques for the person with dementia.

Course 2: Types of Dementia (60 Minutes)

This Dementia course has been designed to help participants gain an understanding of what dementia is, the different types of dementia, how to diagnose dementia and how to care for people with dementia. This course has been developed using the latest guidance from the medical and nursing Royal Colleges, the Department of Health and the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

Course 3: Dementia - Dealing with Challenging Behaviour (60 Minutes)

This Dementia course has been designed to help you understand about dealing with agitation, psychosis and depression in people with dementia and also how to deal with challenging behaviours using a person-centred approach. This has been developed using the latest guidance from the medical and nursing Royal Colleges, the Department of Health and the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

Course 4: Dementia - Clinical Guidelines (60 Minutes)

This Dementia course has been designed to help you understand what delirium is, the clinical guidelines for managing delirium and the clinical guidelines for managing dementia. This has been developed using the latest guidance from the medical and nursing Royal Colleges, the Department of Health and the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

Course 5: Dementia - Interventions for Cognitive and Non-Cognitive (60 Minutes)

This e-learning module on Dementia has been designed to help you understand the clinical guidelines for managing dementia, interventions for cognitive symptoms, interventions for comorbid emotional disorders, palliative care issues and drug treatments.
This has been developed using the latest guidance from the medical and nursing Royal Colleges, the Department of Health and the National Instute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE)

Course 6: Dementia Care Practice Level 3 (60 - 90 Minutes)

This course is aimed at all staff working in the care environment who work with people with dementia. A general understanding of the issues associated with dementia will be established. Candidates will gain under-pinning knowledge of the below issues and therefore will be able to put this into practice where necessary.

On completing all 6 courses, the participant will have gained 6 ½ hours CPD and certificates which are CPD Accredited and Nationally recognised which can be downloaded and printed straight away. Hard copies are available which can be requested straight away from the platform for £3.50 each or directly from us for the same price.

An accredited certificate is awarded upon completion which enable you to obtain certified CPD hours and the course will count towards CPD hours for the process of revalidation for midwives and nurses. The online nature of the courses means that they are cheaper, but great quality and you can complete the course in at your own pace without attending a venue. You have 12 months from purchase to complete these courses. Dedicated Tutor Support via telephone and email is available. At the end of each course there is a test will be multiple choice. You can retake the test as many times as you need at no extra cost to improve your grade and can repeated it as many times as you want within the 12-month period. If you repeat the courses after 11 months, you will refresh for free. The learning can be viewed after the test for future reference but at request, we can make it knowledge test only if you have already done this course in the past. The average course takes 1 hour per module depending on learner needs but can be completed quicker. This depends on the time you put into the course and your grade will reflect on your studies and prior knowledge. The courses will assist in remaining compliant, getting a job, starting a career or to expand on your current learning and development
