For those working in Software Development Agile Project Management skills are becoming more and more important as organisation demand more and more rapid and lean software delivery. Here are 5 good reasons why Agile Project Management has become an important standard:
- It boosts speed-to-market – Agile management is all about early and regular software releases
- It allows for quality risk management – Focusing on incremental releases that are made visible to the product team during the development process, agile management opens up opportunities for quickly responding to potential market risks
- It helps to quickly respond to industry changes – Traditional project management strategies often fail to incorporate changes that would ensure client satisfaction. Agile management allows for implementing such alterations with no extra time spent on them
- It offers a team approach to projects
- It’s flexible– As expected, the essence of agile management technique is its inherent flexibility

This was helpful. What is the difference between this Agile qualification and Prince2?
Answer:Hi Simon PRINCE2 is a methodology for managing projects consisting of themes and processes, whereas Agile is a way of carrying out project work focusing on product delivery. Agile is not in itself a methodology, but a way of thinking from which several methodologies have arisen, including Kanban, Scrum and Lean. Please note that there is also PRINCE2 Agile which has arisen recently that combines the 2. If you need any further information more then please let me know Natalie
This was helpful.Do you need to do the exams to get the certificate at the end of the course? Once exams are done what is the qualification? Are the exams online?
Answer:Hi Ros, You need to do the mock exams online until you are confident you are ready to do the official exam, you don't get a certificate unless you pass the official exam. Once you complete the AgilePM foundation +Practitioner online exams you will be a certified AgilePM Practitioner, which is a worldwide recognised qualification.
