Accounting / Accountancy is one of the most worthwhile disciplines that provide the learners many opportunities for their development. This unit is designed comprehensively for the learners to provide them an inclusive introduction to accounting and its role in modern businesses. Unit covers the topic such as the fundamental concept of accounting, the purpose of accounting information system, scope of financial reporting and significance of financial reporting from the stakeholder’s perspective. In addition to this, the unit also includes the topics such as the control of business transactions through accounting, the different type of accounting systems and information provided by the financial accounting system.
The aim of this unit is to provide the learners a foundation for their continuing professional development and through this course they will be able to understand the basic knowledge about the accounting and will be able to develop the necessary skills required in modern accounting systems.
