AAT Diploma in Professional Accounting Q2022 Syllabus
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Diploma in Professional Accounting (Level 4) is the final and most advanced AAT accounting qualification. It's ideal for financial team leaders and senior accountants, or for those wanting to gain professional MAAT status. It is also the next step for those who have already completed the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting (Level 3).
This AAT Level 4 Qualification has been developed with experienced Accountants in mind, giving you the real-world knowledge as well as the skillset to carry out comprehensive accounting tasks in the workplace as part of leading a professional finance team.
On completion of the AAT level 4 Qualification, you will be a fully qualified Accounting Technician. On top of this you will also automatically become an affiliate member of AAT, and can also apply for internationally-recognised professional MAAT status.

Course Units
The course consists of 6 units; 4 mandatory units and 2 optional units.
Mandatory Units:
- Applied Management Accounting
- Drafting and interpreting Financial Statements
- Internal Accounting Systems and Controls
And choose two units from the following:
- Business Tax
- Personal Tax
- Audit and Assurance
- Cash and Financial Management
- Credit and Debt Management

Who is this course for?
This course is ideal if you have already completed or enrolled on the AAT Diploma in Accounting (Level 3) and looking to validate your Accounting and Finance knowledge to further your accountancy career.
Requirements
You should have completed or enrolled on AAT Diploma in Accounting (Level 3) to enrol and should have reasonable numeracy and communication skills.
We do require you to be at least 16 years old in order to enrol onto the course.
