Description
This course is comprehensive and is designed to cover the modules listed under the curriculum below.
Unit 1: Advanced Bookkeeping
This unit will allow you to apply the principles of advanced double-entry bookkeeping, implement procedures for the acquisition and disposal of non-current assets, prepare and record depreciation calculations, record period end adjustments and produce and extend the trial balance.
On completion of this unit, you will sit a computer-based test* at a local centre of your choice.
Unit 2: Final Accounts Preparation
This unit will allow you to distinguish between the financial recording and reporting requirements of different types of organisation, the need for final accounts and the accounting and ethical principles underlying their preparation as well as preparing accounting records from incomplete information, producing accounts for sole traders and partnerships and the key differences between preparing accounts for a limited company and a sole trader.
On completion of this unit, you will sit a computer-based test* at a local centre of your choice.
Unit 3: Indirect Tax
This unit will provide you with an understanding of applying VAT legislation requirements, accurately completing VAT returns and submitting them in a timely manner, the implications for the business of errors, omissions, late filing and payment as well as reporting VAT-related information within the organisation in accordance with regulatory and organisation requirements.
On completion of this unit, you will sit a computer-based test* at a local centre of your choice.

Method of Assessment:
This course is comprised of 3 computer-based examinations (the results of which you will receive immediately).
All AAT assessments are computer based, you can go through the course material qualification at your own pace, with our dedicated support every step of the way.
Assessments can be taken at centres local to you. Our dedicated bookings team will make all of the arrangements, so you can focus on your studies.
Please note:
One sitting of each assessment is included in the course fee. Re-sits will be charged separately. There are resit restrictions for learners aged 16-19 living in the UK (excluding Scotland), contact us for further details.
Registration with the AAT / Registering for Exams
Please note that it is your responsibility to register as a student with the AAT and without this you will be unable to take your CBAs. Learners cannot be entered for an exam if the AAT membership fees have not been paid to the AAT.
AAT Admission Fees:

Certification:
Successful candidates will be awarded an AAT Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping.
