Are you a highly effective communicator and team builder who enjoys a technical "hands on" approach ?Within this upmarket independent design/architecture lighting business with turnover of £16 million, with superb show case offices based in Shoreditch, this hands on Financial Director , will supervise an accounts team of 2 people, but largely a "hands on" role. As Financial Director you will oversee all financial aspects of the business and lead the Finance Team, to support the organisation in achieving its vision, mission, and strategic goals. You will be an integral member of the Management Team, designing, defining and driving financial strategy, planning and performance through the key responsibilitie including: Project profitability, budget preparation, setting and monitoring and financial forecastingFinancial reporting accuracy, taking ultimate responsibility for VAT operations, preparation of quarterly VAT returns, and internal reporting such as management reporting including P&L, cashflow projectionsPreparing and presenting financial and management accounts, reports and data together with finnacial analysisSupporting the senior management team with regular cash flow reporting, project profitability and strategic input including identifying potential threats and opportunities, defining/compliance policies under statutory regulatory requirements You are ACA/ ACCA / CIMA qualified , current Financial Controller or Director of similar size business, a peoples "team builder", who enjoys a "hands-on" technical role with a strong project costing profitabilty background.You have a previous working knowledge of Netsuite ERP of similar ERP systemThe role will be 3-4 days in the office

The business is privately owned and has grown to £45m revenue and as such the business needs a Finance Director to come on board to drive controls and processes across finance, manage and develop a team of 10 and implement and develop analysis across the business to drive commercial decision making. The business has grown from £20m in 2021 to £45m revenue currently and this newly created role will work with senior management on all commercial aspects of the business including bids, driving revenue and looking for cost efficiencies. This role will pay £110k-£120k plus bonus, LTIP, private health and hybrid working (3 days in the office) The responsibilities include: Management and development of Finance team of 10Reviewing and developing all existing finance systems, processes and controlsWorking with SLT to implement full commercial support from Finance team including bid proposals and full commercial analysis of business performance.Own full cost review and drive efficiencies across the businessManage outsourced IT function including managing relationships, cost and performance review.Manage review and implementation of new Finance ERP across business.
