This is a newly created role and will report into the CFO / COO and will own all things finance for this growing firm. The role will pay £90k-£105k + great benefits + profit share and great bonus and prides itself on offering a great work life balance (2 days a week in the office). This position will manage a team of 11, will take ownership of all reporting, accounting, budgeting and forecasting and the development of all financial systems (3E). Responsibilities include: Team Leadership Lead and manage the finance team, promoting collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.Drive team structure and development to meet evolving business needs. Financial Management Oversee all general ledger, accounting, billing, and collections functions.Ensure timely and accurate management reporting, reconciliations, and cashflow forecasting.Manage budgeting, banking relationships, and approvals for payments and expenses. Audit & Tax Oversight Coordinate annual accounts and act as lead contact for external audits.Support preparation and submission of tax, VAT, PSA, and partner tax returns in collaboration with advisors. Risk & Compliance Act as COFA, embedding a strong compliance and risk management culture.Oversee financial inputs for regulatory audits. Partnership Financials Manage partner-related finances including capital, profit distributions, and tax.Support reporting for performance and remuneration. Systems & Process Improvement Manage financial systems and vendor relationshipsDrive efficiency through process improvement and alignment with business strategy. Qualifications & Experience Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).Proven leadership experience in finance.Familiar with law firm finance and sector regulations or have worked in a professional services / consulting firm.Hands-on, adaptable, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders.Strong systems knowledge and a focus on quality and continuous improvement.High levels of discretion and professionalism.
