Team Leader

Safehands Recruitment are currently looking for a Team Leader to join one of our most prestigious clients who are also one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK.

You will play an integral part of a multi- professional team caring for children and young adults aged between 6-16 years with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.

NVQ training is available along with a comprehensive training and induction programme to support your development within the organisation. This is a full time permanent vacancy

Responsibilities of a Team Leader:

  • Assisting the administration of medication
  • Supporting the clients education including attending school and completing homework
  • Assisting with domestic duties
  • Working closely with teaching staff, social workers and external professionals in a professional manner
  • Supporting clients to access the community
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a safe and effective manner
  • Undertake regular sleep in duties
  • Participate in regular review meetings and risk assessments
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a safe and effective manner
  • To maintain knowledge and operate within current legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Promote in dependence and develop a trusting relationship with the clients
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Report any concerns that may indicate safety and wellbeing is being compromised
  • To undertake all mandatory training in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting clients with all aspects of personal care.

Person Specification for the Team Leader:

  • Staff must be flexible with shift patterns
  • You must be confident and competent when support clients with challenging behaviour
  • NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People.
  • Experience within a Health and Social Care would be advantageous but not essential
  • All applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and 5 years referencing
