Support Worker 

Our client is dedicated to support people with learning disabilities to live the lives they want to. Position: Support Worker 
Location: Attleborough, Norfolk 
Contract type: Full Time, Part Time & Bank Staff 
Hours: up to 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £7.95 per hour

About the Role: 

They are looking for full time, part time and bank staff to join their team 

In this role you will be working in a Supported Living service. 

You must be able to work the following shifts: 

Early 07:15 – 14:45 / Late 14:30 – 22:00 / Waking night 21:45 – 09:15 

They support people who have a learning disability, who may also be on the autism spectrum, have physical disabilities, complex needs, and associated health needs such as epilepsy or mental health needs or dementia. 

Some of the people they support may at times show that they are unhappy through their behaviour. This can be a way for them to control their environment when they are unable to communicate their hopes, needs and fears. 

You will work as part of a team to support them to make structured changes to their life to achieve a positive outcome. 

They always base their support on the specific needs, choices and aspirations of the individual following their principles of person-centred support. 

About You: 

They are looking for staff who are patient, confident, and pro-active with a good sense of humour. 

You will be able to empathise with the difficulties these individuals present and are committed to supporting them on the bad days as well as the good. 

Experience in a similar role and an understanding of autism and complex behaviour would be an advantage but not essential. 

Due to the location of the role you will require your own transport as no public transport is available.
