Support Worker - YP Service
Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Support Worker to work with a Young Persons Service in Weston-Super-Mare. This vacancy involves working 1 in 3 Saturdays and working on a rota with a mixture of 9am-5pm and 2pm - 10pm shifts. The hourly rate on offer is £9.03 plus holiday pay.
As a Support Worker you will be part of an established team. The team is formed of a SCSM (manager), Support Coordinator (Team Leader), Support Workers and a Housing Management Worker. Additional support is available outside of office hours through an On Call system. The role involves working with young people aged between 16 - 25. The service provides high support to customers who are predominantly under 18 and/or under the LAC or Leaving Care Team.
- We aim to provide stable temporary accommodation to vulnerable single young men and women aged between sixteen and twenty five years, who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and who have a housing need. The aim of the service is to provide a period of stability and to enable the customer to work towards a level of independent living with the aim of achieving greater independence. The service aims to provide quality housing related support in a positive and safe environment with skilled and experienced staff
Lone working is expected at times so a strong awareness of Professional Boundaries and Personal Safety is a must
No 2 days will be the same so a flexible approach is essential!
- Qualifications: N/A
- Experience: 2+ years working in a similar environment .
- Compliance: DBS and proof of right to work in the UK.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
