Senior SOC Analyst (Sentinel & Azure Cloud) – Outside IR35 – Hybrid – Manchester

VIQU have partnered with one of the UK’s leading technology partners, who are seeking a Senior SOC Analyst to support in clearing a high volume of tickets, and to help develop and coach the wider team.

The successful Senior SOC Analyst will be well versed in the Microsoft Security Suite (Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Azure), and will resolve and mitigate the impact of security incidents, restoring normalcy, and fortifying against future threats

Key skills & responsibilities for the Senior SOC Analyst:

• Monitor and respond to security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Security Suite (Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Azure).
• Innovate solutions to enhance detection capabilities using advanced Kusto Query Language (KQL).
• Investigate and report findings on client malicious incidents.
• Analyse log data from various sources.
• Develop incident response run books and formalize internal processes.
• Train and mentor junior SOC team members.
• Good communication skills, dealing with customers
• Conversant with security best practices (including ISO27001) and legislation.
• Relevant security certifications would be desirable: (CSA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM)

Role details:

• Job role: Senior SOC Analyst   
• Job type: Contract
• Duration: 6 weeks initial contract with view to extend up to 6 months   
• Rate: £400 - £500 per day
• IR35 status: Outside IR35
• Location: Hybrid, up to 3 days per week onsite in Manchester
