Senior Project Manager, EMEA - Competitive Salary & Excellent Benefits
A leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer in Hatfield has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide leadership and highly effective project management of all agreed business initiatives across EMEA. Leadership and Management of any future contract resource. High stakeholder engagement across multiple groups to ensure all project deliverables are achieved to business satisfaction. Horizon scanning to ensure future proofing of projects in line with strategic direction of the business. Deputising for the Head of Business Solutions, EMEA and management of the entire team during periods of absence of Head Of Department.

Duties/ Responsibilities;
Supporting HOD in recruitment of personnel/ Leadership and management of any future contract personnel
Strategic planning by liaising with core stakeholders and understanding business direction
Gathering insights on business initiatives and requirements and aligning projects to achieve economies of scale
Leadership and management of multiple projects and ensuring delivery of agreed objectives
Working closely with HOD on budget management and tracking of expenditure
Leading the defining and planning of multiple projects and delivery of project management program
Build and implement core components of projects to achieve the desired business outcome
Development of tools and techniques to improve project management implementation
Creation of project governance structure: Steering Committee: Project team: Roles and Responsibilities: Activity planning and scheduling
Evaluating resource requirements and deploying appropriately
Adoption and delegation of roles to achieve project outcomes
Maintain overall use of resources and take corrective action where necessary
Apply change control and configuration management processes and manage production of project deliverables
Development of a schedule to deliver the project aims, objectives, vision and key deliverables
Development of a project plan that breaks down all required tasks with set timelines of delivery
Evaluation of the budget requirements and budget submissions with sufficient detail of costs so that investment decisions can be made
Management of the agreed project budget and delivery within the budget framework
Development of Total Cost of Ownership over a five year period
Creation of all the appropriate documentation to run projects successfully
Creation of charts and scheduling of activities and tracking to ensure tasks are completed
Risk analysis and mitigation plan
Maintenance of issues and risks log
Maintaining detailed knowledge of all aspects of projects and making adaptations to deliver goals
Development of stakeholder influence maps to engage and strategically influence
Development of internal communications strategy
Business partnering to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and receive the relevant communication as required
Maintain and control quality of projects and quality standards
Development of project charters
Design and apply appropriate Project Management standards
Prepare project exception reports
Identification of interdependencies with other projects
Horizon scanning to future proof initiatives
Stay abreast of latest strategies, tools and techniques
Networking with industry professionals to gather insights and best practice
Post evaluation of projects to identify learnings that can be applied to other projects

Skills and experience required;

* Educated to degree standard
* Information Technology qualification desirable
* Prince 2 trained and certified plus other project management model qualifications: Agile: Waterfall
* A second language would be advantageous, ideally French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish
* Working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and project management processes
* Experience in all tools to run projects successfully, for eg: RAID: RACI: URS: Project Plan
* Advanced level of knowledge in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Previous experience working in a GXP: GMP: GDP or other regulatory environment
* Excellent working knowledge of technical systems essential
* Experience of projects within Electronic Approval, CRM solutions, Reporting systems and Controlled Documents areas highly desirable
* Experience of writing and reviewing Controlled Documents, such as Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Working practices, workflows, guidelines essential
* Proven track record in managing large scale multi-country level projects that realise business benefits
* Leadership and management of people
