SEND Coordinator - Ealing

The SEND Coordinator will facilitate the coordination of roles across education, health and social care.
The SEND Coordinator will act as the key point of contact for the child, young person and family, and will coordinate activities that are required to assess needs, meet specified outcomes and ensure the provision of holistic care and support. The Coordinator will be the person who liaises with other professionals to ensure that the child/young person and their family have an organised and coordinated approach in order to meet their outcomes.

The SEND Coordinator will:
Work with colleagues to support inclusion in mainstream and universal settings.
Work in partnership with settings/services to secure best outcomes for children.
and young people with SEND.
Provide advice and support for families, settings and services on SEND related matters including when applying for statutory assessment for individual children.
The SEND Coordinator will work within the legislative national framework, local policies and procedures and apply criteria where appropriate.
The SEND coordinator will be responsible for the management of own caseload.

1. Knowledge of current and developing national policy and legislation in relation to SEND.
2. Excellent understanding and practice in person centred thinking, approaches and planning.
3. Evidence of continuous professional development and /or training.
4. Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), including writing comprehensive and clear reports for a variety of audiences (e.g. parents and senior officers) and ability to chair complex meetings with a variety of
stakeholders (e.g. parents and professionals).

You must have a psychology degree and have experience within the SEN sector. You must have excellent administration and conversation/written skills as you will be producing reports, attending meeting and working with various agencies. Able to prove 5 years reference and work history (no gaps) Online DBS. Must live or able to commute to Ealing area.
