This is a fantastic opportunity for an SEN teacher to really make a difference to the education that students with learning difficulties receive. The Local Authority are looking to welcome an outstanding teacher or tutor to the team.
Experience of working with students who have special educational needs is not essential as we provide CPD training to help develop your skills and our dedicated consultants guide you through the role.
Some of the students may have also require additional help from Speech and Language therapists and Occupational therapists who will support the suitable Special Needs Teacher or Tutor with the pupils needs.
About the role:
This will be a 1:1 Learning support role with students with learning difficulties. As a tutor you will have very good knowledge of the curriculum and will have taught or have an interest in teaching children with special educational needs before. You will work alongside staff members to support students with accessing a creative and exciting curriculum tailored to the individual students' needs and ensure that they have a happy learning environment.
To be eligible for this post you will:
- Have experience working as a Teacher or Tutor
- Be qualified or be able to teach at primary level as a minimum
- Be enthusiastic, understanding and passionate
- Have QTS
- Be able to provide 2x professional references
- Hold an in date DBS registered with the online update service
- Be available to start a role in April 2018
