School Business and Operations Manager

Farrer Barnes are working with an ambitious and modern Secondary Academy in Blackheath to recruit an experienced School Business Leader. 

Looking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic School Business Manager for the Academy. The successful applicant will be a key member of SLT and provide full support to the Head Teacher to ensure the effective leadership, management and administration of the school with specific responsibility for facilities, Health and Safety, the MIS and ICT infrastructure, Risk Management, Office Management, Financial Management and line management of the administrative staff. 

Experience as a School Business Manager is desirable but not essential; however, the successful candidate should hold the Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM) or a Finance related qualification. Experience of working within a school and an understanding of school and charity finance would be a huge benefit and  someone with experience of managing and monitoring budgets and reporting on this would be desirable. Experience of SIMS would be an advantage, but not essential as training can be provided.
