About the role
An opportunity has arisen within our Scheme Finance Department for a Finance Assistant. The role will involve assisting the scheme accountant by being responsible for the daily transactions on an allocated portfolio of pension schemes.
The position available would suit an experienced book-keeper, or someone working on a credit ledger, with good bank reconciliations experience. This is a varied role in a friendly, team focused environment

What you will do:
To carry out bank reconciliations on the portfolio of clients in line with key deadlines.
To enter transactions on to the nominal ledger and investigate where necessary.
To review the scheme bank accounts to ensure all receipts are monitored in line with statutory deadlines and advise the operations department where necessary.
To actively manage and monitor pension scheme cash requirements and to ensure payments are properly controlled and promptly settled.
To undertake other finance tasks as required.
Your experience will include:
- Good general accounts experience such as book-keeping
- Good Excel skills
- Bank reconciliations experience
- Minimum Grade C at GCSE Level Maths & English
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Proactive, enthusiastic attitude and able to work effectively in a team.
