Reporting to the Head of Business Transformation, the Business Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery of business change projects. They will ensure that the business benefit is clearly defined and measurable, the project objectives are documented and the necessary resources available. They will produce the project plans and monitor progress to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget.

Role Responsibilities

• Act as a lead for the definition, planning and implementation of business projects

• Work closely with the business to define the business benefit, project objectives and deliverables

• Define, plan and track project timelines and key milestones

• Estimate the resources needed to achieve the project goals

• Ensure that assigned resources are available and understand their role

• Manage the resources to deliver to the agreed timescales

• Make sure the business benefits can be realised

• Effective communication of the business benefit and project objectives to the project team and wider business

• Highlight, manage and mitigate project risks

• Manage the project through the full project life cycle from definition through to the realisation of the business benefit

Personal Qualities & Key Skills

• A successful track record as a Technical Project Manager

• Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies

• Experience of managing multiple concurrent projects

• Commercial and business awareness

• Ability to balance financial, quality, resource to achieve the project deadlines

• A personable, consultative, collaborative approach

• Effective communication skills in a one-to-one and one-to-many basis

• Should be able to work independently, as well as under clear instruction

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to plan, organise and estimate project tasks to meet the project objectives

Hours: 40 hours per week -Monday to Friday
