Procurement Buyer

The Buyer will work in a close collaboration with Group Procurement and key stakeholders to ensure the proactive and effective end-to-end management of all Procurement activity within the region delivering excellent value for money supply solutions. Ensuring compliance with agreed processes and procedures for purchasing of goods andservices.

Location: Coalville

Salary: £35,000

Skills: 3 yrs + procurement, Purchasing, SLA’s, KPI’s, Tender documentation, Inventory, MRP, CIPS, Tender management, Catalogue maintenance, Contract management, Monthly reporting.

Responsibilities

On a daily basis you will be responsible for controlling the issuing of Purchase Orders, by reviewing requisitions against standard rules.

You will identify the appropriate purchase route for delivery of services and goods to include supplier selection and commercial terms and payment methods.

Approving and releasing purchase orders and driving continuous improvements in line item data accuracy and coding.

3yrs General Procurement experience in a number of key categoryareas.

Knowledge of purchasingsystems.

Drafting and development of performance metrics (SLAs andKPIs).

Assisting end users in drafting and developing specifications, statementsof work etc...

Drafting tenderdocumentation

Management of the tenderprocess.

Gravitas to influence at all levels of management.

Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.

Ability to work todeadlines.

Working to and recording delivery of key financial targets andKPI’s.
