A Global aerospace engineering firm are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join their team in the Newcastle office, located in Newburn.

This is a temporary/contract role, expected to run for 6 months. Salary is negotiable, and can be discussed during pre-screening.

They are looking for a candidate that will take a system based approach to find and embed efficiencies in the flow of accurate information. Also to analyse and improve the flow of information from stakeholders such as Sales, Engineering and Quality and ensure this reaches manufacturing cells in a timely and accurate manner.

The ideal Process Engineer will have:

-HND level qualification or equivalent [preferably Mech. Engineering]
-Evidence of continual professional development in process or mechanical engineering
-5+ years of experience in the engineering sector
-A proven track record in delivering process improvements
-ERP and Microsoft Project experience is advantageous

The role:

-Assess effectiveness of working practices and systems, develop process knowledge and improve systems via focused studies, data driven analysis and report generation
-To improve the accuracy of information processed across the business. To seek out efficiencies in the processing of data. To analyse and identify any bottle necks before drawing conclusions and implementing appropriate control measures
-To ensure the adoption of modern "lean" tools and techniques and be both a coach and champion within a manufacturing team
-Understanding top level production plans then creating, managing and delivering detailed activity plans that enable top level production objectives to be met
-Manage and facilitate the timely and efficient delivery of technical project improvements that are key to strategic growth
