We are looking for 3 Assistant Service Managers to join our person-centred services in Essex on a permanent contract. You will be working across our Supported living service and residential service, where we currently support 30 individuals with a learning disability. This role is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a management role.
As a role model for the service and our support workers, you will be encouraging the team to be involved in the lives and hobbies of those we support. The role is about being passionate about what we can do to change a mundane day into an exceptional day - both for the team and the people we support.
You will be supporting the Service Manager in the continued smooth operation of this service by undertaking agreed management tasks. In addition to undertaking managerial tasks, you may also be required to do some front line support work with the people we support when required. Furthermore, you will need to act as a role model, representing the service positively and demonstrating good practice to other members of the team.
We are looking for someone who's motivated and committed to getting results, has strong organisational skills and time keeping, approachable, trustworthy and forward thinking - who also will bring some fresh ideas to the team.
Shifts are spread out on a rota basis and cover the service hours. You may be asked to work a variety of shifts across the week, depending on needs of the service. The weekends are worked on a rota too and would need to work 1 in 4 weekends.
