Job Title: Paralegal - Commercial Property

Location: Leamington Spa

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm

Our client is a well-established and respected Legal Firm in the local area looking to recruit a Paralegal within their busy Commercial Property team. The Paralegal will provide valuable support to the teams qualified Solicitors and wider team. It is essential that the successful candidate has a strong administrative background within a professional or corporate environment. This role would suit a diligent and organised individual who is looking for longevity within their next role.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the drafting of legal documents and with the preparation of documentation to clients
  • Attend Association meetings with Fee Earners
  • Being responsible for setting personal priorities and managing personal workload
  • The ability to work under routine direction against established priorities, processes and procedures
  • Liaise closely with clients via telephone or e-mail in a clear, concise and professional manner resolving as many enquiries yourself as possible and where referral is needed, ensuring a comprehensive attendance note is provided
  • Maintain the integrity of data in key platforms such as Lawsoft, Visualfiles, Worksite and InterAction for the creation of Contact, Customer and Matter records and file closing
  • Carrying out file opening and closing compliance tasks
  • Be responsible for emails, court forms, customer related bookings, key date diary administration and all other ad hoc administrative duties
  • Undertake legal research both when requested and on own initiative
  • Complete all other administrative duties such as document scanning and photocopying when required

Key Skills & Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate confidently and appropriately with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Previous experience within Commercial Property and dealing with property sales and purchases
  • Strong organisation skills to enable you to organise your day and prioritise your own workload
  • Enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude
  • An excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills
