Daylesford farm - Cookery School Manager, £24,000 pa
About the role
In this administrative role, working from 9:00-17:00 Monday-Friday. You will be expected to help with ensuring the cookery school achieve budgeted sales as well as championing sales across all platforms including phone and email. You will also carry out research and suggest new routes and ideas with the aim of being able to sell and implement more cookery school courses. You will be expected to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, guest speakers and chefs and deal with all incoming enquiries in a timely and professional manner, working closely with the head tutor to ensure client’s needs are met. You will be responsible for taking bookings and coordinating the online diary, paper diary and cookery school website and processing payments. You will work closely with the head tutor to assist with any general administrative requirements as well as proof-reading and helping to prepare the head tutor’s course notes and materials in readiness for each session.
The suitable candidate for this role will be creative, confident and have fantastic customer service skills. Daylesford conveys it’s love for food so you should be a real foodie. This is a customer facing role so great interpersonal skills are required as well as a friendly and approachable demeanour. It is important that you have a confident and exuberant telephone manner and you are comfortable working to deadlines. You will be working both independently and as a part of a team, so we are looking for a good team player but also somebody who has the ability and efficiency to work well independently. Fantastic writing and organisational skills are essential, marketing experience would be desirable and copy-writing skills advantageous.
